According to the prestigious online tourism magazines, named Smart Travel Asia, Hanoi and Da Nang of Vietnam have been cited as top destinations for holidays in Asia. This is the 2nd time these two Vietnamese cities were praised in Smart Travel Asia’s rankings.
In the 2014 online poll launched by the SmartTravelAsia.com, Hanoi and Da Nang were ranked 8th together with Singapore. Bali of Indonesia secured the fist position in the list.

Hanoi is ideal for sightseeing tours to visit the famous tourist spots and historical and cultural vestiges as well as for culture tour to experience the Vietnamese unique culture and traditions. In addition, many tourists traveling to Hanoi said that they were eager to enjoy Hanoi street foods like Balut (Trứng Vịt Lộn), Nem nướng (Grilled pork), Hanoi coffee, etc. Also, Hanoi is convenient for a short day trip to explore the traditional handicraft villages in the suburbs.
The vote, which ran in three months, from May to July, is based on substantial hands-on travel experience from tourists traveling to Asian countries.
